Governor Jeff Landry has unveiled a sweeping new economic development strategy designed to ensure Louisiana businesses are the first to benefit from the state’s recent wave of investment and job creation.
The plan, announced at Louisiana Economic Development’s new headquarters, includes four major initiatives:
Source Louisiana, a statewide directory connecting local firms to prime contractors and large-scale projects.
Driving Louisiana Opportunity Tour, a statewide listening tour focused on business retention and expansion.
Project Lightning Speed, an executive order streamlining interagency coordination to move projects faster.
Ensuring Louisiana Participation, a review of incentive programs to encourage greater use of in-state vendors.
“These initiatives give our companies the tools, visibility and support they need to compete and win,” Landry said.
LED Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois emphasized the strategy reflects the state’s long-term “9×90 workplan” to expand opportunity for Louisiana companies of every size.
For Louisiana businesses, this new pipeline of opportunity means greater access to contracts, faster turnaround on projects, and stronger guarantees that investments made in Louisiana will directly benefit Louisiana workers and entrepreneurs.
